Week 4, Part II

Heart Center (receptive): To Be Loved and Accepted & To Be Guided By Love

Resiliency Keys

There are 9 key needs that must be met for a person to cultivate the resiliency necessary to create a life that is consistently satisfying and joyful:
• Lovability: I feel inherently and unconditionally lovable. I can give and receive love easily.
• Self-Worth: I have core-deep self-confidence and worthiness, and I practice healthy self-care.
• Authenticity: I am fully self-expressed in healthy ways, creating a life I love.
• Self-Trust: I know what I “know”. I am comfortable relying on my inner knowing. I feel capable and dependable (trustworthy).
• Emotional Wisdom: I manage my emotional energy well. I understand my emotional “wave” (activated Creative Center) or how I respond to the emotional energy of others (receptive Creative Center).
• Empowerment: I express personal power in healthy ways, have a connection to infinite power, and empower others.
• Courage: I move through challenges gracefully and trust my Strategy and Authority.
• Decisiveness: I make good and aligned choices, and I follow through with them.
• Vitality: I manage my energy well. I have balanced energy and productivity, with plenty of reserves.

Lovability and self-worth are the foundation for all others. Throughout my life, I’ll experience and explore the theme of lovability in various ways through my Heart Center. Additional resiliency keys affected by Heart Gates are decisiveness, courage, and authenticity.

About the Heart Center

The prevailing message from the world is that the mind and logic are the best source of direction; however, the heart has a brain of its own (more about neurocardiology). It communicates with the brain neurologically, biochemically, biophysically, and electromagnetically. In fact, the EMF of the heart is considerably larger than the brain’s.

There’s a great deal of interesting research showing that EMFs of individuals can interact and affect the people involved. One small example is found in music: the brainwave frequencies of musicians synchronize when they play together, as do the brainwaves of listeners. The latter effect is more pronounced when listening live and/or in groups. The fact that we energetically influence each other via individual EMFs is scientifically proven, and the different components of our circuitry design reflect different characteristics of the EMF we’re generating at any given time.

I calibrate my direction in life by virtue of the quality of love and acceptance that I’m experiencing for myself and in my life. I attract into my life things that match the quality of Love that I have, a phenomenon that functions in the same way as Target Fixation.

Love, in one form or another, is what life is all about. The perception of separation is that drives us to look outside ourselves for love, trying to get a sense of where we’re going and who we are in relation to others. We’re trying to become worthy of the elusive love we seek.

The truth is that everything has been right here within me all along. I don’t have to look outside myself to discover who I am or where to go to find love. My Heart Center holds love. We aren’t here to find love or to be loved but to BE LOVE.

The Heart Center carries the energy for love, direction, and the Self. I understand what it means to love and be loved according to the Gates on the Heart Center (this is true whether they’re activated in my circuitry or not. My alignment with love attunes the direction of my life and the expression of my Authentic Self. I attract opportunities and experiences that become the direction my life takes according to the energy of my Heart Center. I can influence my life direction and sense of self by cultivating greater love for myself and others.

My Receptive Heart Center

Since I have a receptive Heart Center, there is malleability and variability to my experience of love, direction, and self-identity. I pick up and amplify these energies from other people – their life experiences, their wounds and pains, their sense of self, and their lovability and worthiness. I’m incredibly sensitive to others! I understand their sense of Self and direction. I pick up on their sense of identity and amplify it. With awareness of what’s happening, this gives me insight into their perspective. Without awareness, I’ll identify with it and experience confusion about my own identity.

This sensitivity can translate into questioning my lovability and authenticity. I may feel like others don’t understand me or that I’m “inauthentic” because I act differently depending on who I’m with. It can be difficult to know which identity is mine among the many I encounter throughout my life.

I may also feel like I “merge” with the people I’m in relationship with because I experience them so deeply. This is especially tricky because I’m easily able to see the potential in people and can become enamored of nearly everyone I meet. It’s important for me to set good boundaries and to choose relationships based on what someone actually does versus the potential I see in them.

When it comes to life direction, I may feel overwhelmed and lack clarity because there is so much variability in my life path. People with a receptive Heart often feel like they can’t find their life purpose or struggle to know which path to take. The important thing to remember with a receptive Heart is that it doesn’t matter so much the direction I take; rather, it is about what I learn from whichever direction you choose. There is a freedom available in my abundance of options.

One of the crucial aspects to managing these sensitivities is finding the right environment and the right people for me. If things are stuck in my life, I need to make sure my physical environment feels good, from the placement of my bed in my room to my city and country.

When I’m in the wrong environment, it can create tension in every area of my life. I may feel a general sense of being stuck or unable to move forward. These feelings are my inner compass. If it feels off, I’ve outgrown the place where I am and it’s time to change my environment!

By changing where I live, where my desk is located, and/or the people I’m surrounding myself with, I adjust my life direction and sense of Self. Making a big change in my physical environment (according to my Type and Strategy) can be a game-changer because it opens me to opportunities, experiences, and people that are supportive of my life path.

It can be challenging at times to identify which environmental factors are creating stuckness or misalignment. I should practice self-compassion and forgiveness if I discover that I’ve judged an influence incorrectly. That’s just part of my learning process, and I’m always free make new choices to readjust. If I’m struggling to make a decision or uncertain about which choice is right for me, putting physical distance between myself and others will help me gain clarity and be sure that my choices are based solely on internal signals rather than being clouded by others’ signals.

When I’m in the right environment, my wisdom about love, identity, and direction is more easily expressed because I’m amplifying the aligned values and integrity around me. When I learn to love myself regardless of how I “show up” that day, I’m living out the wisest expression of this energy. When it’s in alignment, the energy of the receptive Heart offers the priceless gift of helping others feel seen and loved for who they truly are.

Conditioning Influences

If I’ve been around people with an activated Heart in novice expression (or grew up that way), I’m likely to have been influenced by their fear that they won’t be loved for expressing their authentic self. I might have taken on this fear as my own.

Mature expression of an activated Heart will influence my EMF in beneficial ways and teach me positive elements of personal narrative that I can emulate, if I choose. People with activated Heart wisdom and optimal expression exemplify:
• recognition that I’m designed to love, to be empowered, to self-express, to control my own personal narrative, to use my life in service to my highest purpose, to stay vital, to explore how much goodness I’m willing to allow myself to receive, and to share compassionately with the world
• trusting that when I express my Authentic Self, I’m moving in a direction that supports my sustainability and abundance and that enables me to live as an example of this for others

Purpose of the Receptive Heart

• To experience a variety of personal narratives as a way of gauging and learning about authentic self-expression
• To deeply feel the stories of others and use the experience of those stories to consciously choose my own life path

Novice Expression of the Receptive Heart

• Questioning my lovability
• Struggling with identity, direction, and belonging
• Allowing my direction and EMF to be conditioned by novice influence from others
• Struggling to feel at home in the world
• Constantly yearning to find my purpose and place in the world, which can become all-consuming, ultimately leading to obsession and despair
• Trying to emulate the lifestyles and behaviors of those around me in an effort to fill the emptiness inside me

Lessons/Challenges

• To not experience the narratives of others as my own
• To learn to sample others’ stories and expressions and gauge which ones feel aligned with my value and the values I want to hold
• To integrate elements of these stories into my understanding of my unique life path
• To learn to place myself in the right location with the right people and be embedded in the stories that reflect my lovability and authentic self-expression

Wisdom and Optimal Expression of the Receptive Heart

• Being deeply wise about the potential of the story of humanity
• Choosing which influences I want to integrate into my life, narrative, and sense of self
• Knowing that who I am is evolving and expanding
• Staying open to new possibilities and experiences so I continue to grow and develop as an individual
• Remaining open-minded and adaptable as I move through life, recognizing that I’ll be influenced by the people and circumstances around me
• Focusing on observing and learning from people and experiences around me, using other people’s narratives to consciously choose my own direction
• Using the awareness that I reflect others as a way to stay connected and engaged with those around me

Affirmations for Wise Expression

• I experience myself as fluid and dynamic, which is correct and valid for me.
• How I experience myself changes depending on those around me, so I choose to surround myself with people who feel good to me.
• I enjoy and savor the stories and experiences of others as a witness, never allowing myself to get lose in someone else’s story.
• I choose the elements that reflect my own value and my values.
• Place is very important to me, and I create an environment that soothes me.
• When I am in the right place, the right opportunities come to me.

For the Heart
For cultivating my sense of lovability

Clearing old beliefs/stories that are holding me back
Lovability

Contemplations:

    1. Have I experienced pain, dis-ease, or dysfunction associated with my liver and/or cardiovascular system? If so, what could my body be trying to tell me? What story about myself and/or my life could my body be holding?
(I can revisit this question in the future if new health/body issues develop.)
    2. Is my current environment lifting me up? Or is it time for a change?
    3. Do I feel lovable and seen by the people I’m with?
    4. Do the people I’m with reflect the values I want to hold?
    5. Do I feel lost?
    6. Do I recognize the difference between my narrative and experiences and those of others?
    7. Do I over-identify with others?
    8. Do I know how to feel someone else’s story and not become it?

If I want more insight, I can always request a message from the universe.
