Relationships
When I use my inherent energy correctly and follow the inner guidance of my Intuitive Center response, I’m a dynamic and powerful force! I benefit the world in work and relationships—and I’m magnificent to watch in action!
I can be a committed and steady partner in the right relationship. However, I’m steadfast, and when in a groove, I prefer to be left alone, which can be a problem for relationships. When I’m in partnership, I can sometimes “steamroll” my partners and peers by virtue of my speed as well as focus on getting the job done.
In addition, I’ll forget occasionally to inform my partner about projects, leaving my partner confused, angry, or even stressed that it reflects an issue with the relationship. The outer frenetic appearance of my creativity can sometimes leave my loved ones feeling overwhelmed by my energy. Informing can help soften the intensity but the creative spark combined with the sustainability of the Intuitive Center energy can feel like it’s too much at various times.
If I’m not waiting for life to “come to me” and responding to it (so I know if I should pursue something or not), I won’t know what is truly “right” for applying my considerable energy and competence. Have I been rushing off in scattered directions without waiting to respond? The problem with that approach is that it just doesn’t work for me and will lead to experiencing many “wrong” directions, accompanied by frustration, anger, and impatience.
Sadly, closest relationships often bear the brunt of those types of reactions. When I wait and follow my inner guidance, I’ll have less frustration spilling onto others. Recognizing that the frustration and anger are energy will help minimize the negative impact on others; however, frustration IS part of my personal learning curve, so I won’t be avoiding it entirely. It takes courage to wait for, trust, and follow my Intuitive Center Response, but everything in my life (including relationships) will benefit when I do.
I’ll be more effective in my relationships when I work at being as respectful of others as I can, watch out for power struggles, and learn to compromise. Also, remembering to INFORM those who will be impacted by my actions BEFORE taking those actions. I shouldn’t worry about skipping steps, moving fast, and multi-tasking — I’m designed for these! Being physically active during the day so that I’m tired when going to bed is my key to getting adequate rest. I’ll wake up each morning with another full tank of gas to be used while doing it all over again.
What I need from people in a relationship with me:
Acceptance that I move fast, fast, fast, and may leave them behind at times. They shouldn’t try to keep up – they’ll wear down and burnout. Once this energy difference in our relationship is truly understood and respected, we’ll both be happier. Most of all, I need people who will enjoy the ride!
Understanding that it is correct for me to wait for my inner guidance before I act. I need to be allowed the time to wait for things to which I can respond. I need to know that I have the freedom to honor and follow my responses… even if my responses “appear” to not be logical.
Acceptance that when it’s time for me to act, my creative flow can be both compelling and consuming. Informing doesn’t come naturally to me. I need my people to trust my intentions and that I’m doing my best to remember to inform. When I do forget, I need my people to respect that whatever I’m doing is important to me, be willing to stand back patiently instead of interrupting my flow, and trust that I’ll inform as soon as I can do so without derailing what I need to do.
The most respectful (and helpful) way to interact with me is to ask me Yes/No (as opposed to open-ended) questions. This allows a clear opportunity for my Intuitive Center to respond and give me guidance. I need my frustration/anger/impatience to not be taken personally. I need my people to recognize that it’s part of my process, and when they support me in being true to my nature, they’ll help me minimize all of that.
Like everyone, I need my people to support expression of my authentic self and to not be shamed or punished into trying to be someone I’m not, even if authenticity sometimes leads to apparent mistakes. Mistakes are an unavoidable part of living and learning from life for everyone, and they do not diminish my value or lovability.
Time Bender Children
The Time Bender child needs to be given options and choices in “yes/no” format, such as: “Do you want to wear your green shirt? Or do you like the blue shirt better?” The more you allow Time Bender children the freedom to choose, the more they stay connected with their inner authority and their inner compass that takes them to the right place (and opportunities) in life.
A Time Bender child needs to:
• Explore and engage in activities that spark their interest and passion.
• Learn in a self-paced environment.
• Engage in daily exercise and physical activity.
• Rest or go to bed when they are tired and not at a set time.
• Be asked, “Do you want to do this?” “Does this feel good to you?” “Is this good for you at this time?” “Is it
better for you to do this later?” and “I have a suggestion, do you want to hear it?”
Time Benders may seem to start things and not finish. While you want to encourage children to work towards mastering a skill set or an experience, it’s also important for your Time Bender to be allowed to try things and see how they feel before they commit to doing them.
Time Bender children often have a low tolerance for frustration and can seem to skip from thing to thing to thing. It’s important that you help them learn to connect with their Intuitive Center sounds and stay tuned to the choices that are correct. Make sure that they don’t quit unless they respond to quitting. Teach them ways to manage their overwhelming sensation of frustration; give them responsibility for figuring out how to be more masterful. (As a parent, sometimes it feels easier just to take over for your child or resolve the frustrating circumstances. If you do this, you rob your Time Bender of important learning experiences.)
Work
My brain will often work hard to figure out the right answers for me, but that is NOT where I want to be making my decisions and choices. I need to use my Intuitive Center responses. I need to wait for something to which I can respond before I leap into action. This is like waiting for a “sign” or a signal that the timing is right before acting.
I have a deep inner awareness that “pulses” on or off. Following these strong gut-level pulses puts me in the right place, doing the right work, and having the right impact. In addition, I have a unique ability to multi-task. I’m uniquely capable of getting more things done than most and for a long period of time.
Health
I have sustainable life force and work force energy for doing. I’m designed to start with a “full tank of gas” every morning and use up that energy before I go to bed. I’m also designed to be a fast processors (the fastest of the five Types), have a lot going on, and am a good multitasker. I may skip steps in my speed to get things done, and that’s actually correct for me.
Although my energy is fast and sustainable, it is not inexhaustible (even though I may think I’m inexhaustible!). Here are some ways that I can lead to experiencing a variety of “complications” that will wear down my energy and eventually cause burnout.
• Not loving my work or environment
• Sedentary lifestyle
• Not following my Intuitive Center guidance
• Over-exerting myself & not recharging my energy
• Feeling frustrated, angry, & impatient when results aren’t showing up
Wealth
I can’t achieve mastery if I’m leaping from thing to thing out of frustration.
The Intuitive Center is my truth; it cannot lie, and is turned on by the two sounds I’ve identified for myself. The Intuitive Center is far away from the Mind, so when operating out of the rudimentary life force energy, if I find myself having to stop to use other words, I’m talking out of my Mind, which means my energy is far away from my Intuitive Center – and my truth.
My Intuitive Center is my compass, a navigational tool for life. It guides me to where I need to go, when I need to do something, what needs to be accomplished. It’s life force energy. That’s my truth. When I focus on mastering these concepts, wealth follows.
Spiritual Themes
My Spiritual role is to shorten the amount of time from thought form to creation. I’m here to remind people that creation can happen instantaneously if we remove our limitations and stay aligned with the unfolding of the Divine Plan.
As our perception of time is evolving, Time Benders have their own unique way of bending and using time. Watch the Time Benders in your life, and you’ll be witnessing new ways to use time and flow.
Some famous Time Benders: Frederic Chopin, Marie Curie, Clint Eastwood, Sigmund Freud, Mahatma Gandhi, Steffi Graf, Marie Antoinette, Mikhail Gorbachev, Jimi Hendrix, Pope John Paul II, Janis Joplin, Friedrich Nietzsche, Richard Nixon, Yoko Ono, Prince, Jacqueline Onassis, Martin Luther King, Vincent Van Gogh, Malala Yousafzai, Nicki Minaj.
Affirmation for Time Benders
I move faster than most people. My speed and my ability to create many things simultaneously gives me a unique perspective on how to get things done on the planet. Because I have a lot of energy, I need a lot of movement to stay healthy and strong. It’s healthy for me to multi-task and I need to do more than one thing at a time to move my energy. Not everything that I do will create the result that I’m envisioning. The purpose of multi-tasking is to burn off the extra energy that I carry. The things that are mine to complete and bring to the world will align with my inner sense of timing married with action. I am careful to let the people around me know what I’m doing so that they can stand back and let me create at my own speed.
Contemplations
-
- How much do I relate to these description? In what ways do they ring true for me? In what ways do they feel inaccurate for me?
- What have been my experiences with relationships and how do they relate to the description above? What about my experiences as a child? With work? With my health? With wealth/prosperity? Spiritually?
- Do any of these areas of my life need changes to be in better alignment with my Type? If so, is there any action I want to take to move in that direction?
For these and all contemplation questions: Journaling is great to do during this experiment, but I don’t need to worry about figuring out or verbalizing “answers” for these questions. I can think about a question and then write (or just draw/doodle) whatever feelings come up. If journaling doesn’t feel good to me, it’s not necessary. I can talk into a recording app instead. Recording is just to engage areas of the brain that activate during external expression, which doesn’t engage the “looping” that can happen when expression is solely internal.
I can delete the recordings when I’m done expressing, unless I want to reference them later and see how far I’ve come. The same is true for anything written: I can choose whether to discard or keep it according to what feels good to me. External expression about questions is simply a method of healthy processing and self-discovery, not about right or wrong answers or conclusions.
If nothing comes up to express (written or spoken) for a question, I can ask it before I go to sleep and see what comes up in my dreams or when I wake and then express it. Tapping on the center of my forehead while I ask the question(s) will help provide a physical signal to myself of my intention to process this while sleeping.
If I want more insight, I can always request a message from the universe.
