Foundation Center (receptive): Work with Right Timing
Resiliency Keys
Through my Foundation Center, I’ll experience and explore the final resiliency key that builds on all previous keys: vitality. Empowerment is also a key theme in Foundation Gates.
About the Foundation Center
About half the population has an activated Foundation and half has it receptive.
The Foundation is the center for adrenaline energy. It’s a driver energy that helps me get things done. It’s the “get up and go” driving force behind my doing in the world.
It is also a pressure center (just like the Inspiration Center), and as such it carries a certain amount of stress energy. When the adrenaline is high and I feel the pressure to get things done, that can bring with it a certain amount of stress.
My Receptive Foundation Center
Since my Foundation Center is receptive, I’ll experience a constant pressure to get things done. This is because I’m taking in the adrenaline energy of the people around me and amplifying it. And because it’s a pressure Center, it will translate as feeling under pressure to do things.
I probably have a never-ending, ever-expanding to-do list that keeps my energy occupied (if not physically, at least mentally). There can be a feeling of “If I just get this thing done, then I’ll be free to get/do/be XYZ.” Yet, of course, as soon as I finish one thing, there’s another always waiting in the wings. This can translate to never taking a break, rushing through things just to be done with them, and/or procrastinating. This is especially true for me as a Time Bender, since I also have the tendency to multitask, start numerous projects, etc.
The energy of this receptive Center will put pressure on everything else in my circuitry. So I may find myself feeling pressured to give someone something in order to feel lovable or worthy. Or pressured to share my thoughts in order to be heard and seen. Or pressured to keep working when my body, mind, and Spirit are asking for a break. Again, I can experience extra pressure as a Time Bender if I’m expecting myself to finish everything I start.
This plays out quite interestingly in relationship dynamics.
The person with the activated Foundation Center will be exuding adrenaline pressure energy all the time, no matter what they say or do. And it’s not personal! But when I engage in any way with someone with an activated Foundation I can feel like they are pressuring me do get something done.
So my partner can ask, “Would you like some coffee?” and it can feel like they are wanting me to go into the kitchen to start the coffee pot when in actuality they genuinely were wanting to know if I wanted coffee. Of course, when I’m in conversation about division of household labor, childcare, or a deadline for a project, for example, this energy will feel much more intense.
This dynamic can lead to agreeing to something because of the pressure I feel to say yes. This pressure can also fuel a love for being onstage or engaging in risky behaviors/activities or a complete avoidance of them because the pressure is too much.
We live in a society that is addicted to this adrenaline pressure. The drive to do do do and get things done is fueled by coffee, energy drinks, and the like.
One of the best ways to work with this energy is to first bring awareness to the energy. When I can recognize the energy dynamics at play, I start to see that oftentimes the pressure I’m experiencing from my partner, boss, kids, or colleagues is purely energetic and unintentional.
In other words, they don’t actually want, need, or expect me to do anything. And once that awareness begins to soften the energy, I can ask myself this follow up question: What’s the worst thing that could happen if I don’t do this?
More often than not the answer is nothing! I likely have plenty of time to work with the pressure and give myself the space and time I need to move forward. Additionally, if I let go of the idea that something needs to be done “right now,” my partner will likely have the opportunity to either take care of it or help me with it. Finally, once I understand how the activated Foundation works, I can benefit from trusting my partner’s deep sense of timing instead of misinterpreting the energetic signals I’m picking up.
Conditioning Influences
If I’ve been around people with an activated Foundation Center in novice expression (or grew up that way), I’m likely to have been influenced by:
• burning out because I’m pushing against right timing
• failing to take care of circumstances, situations, and conditions that could influence timing
• failing to be ready for when the time is aligned
Mature expression of an activated Foundation Center will teach me to learn to trust my inner sense of timing and to tend to what’s necessary in the material world in order to influence time and timing. People with activated Creativity wisdom and optimal expression exemplify:
• being deeply connected to the accompanying energy flow state that is experienced when the timing for action is aligned
Purpose of Receptive Foundation
• An amplified experience of the pulse of Universal/Divine Timing that can create an energy boost to take aligned action
Novice Expression of the Receptive Foundation
• Perceiving the energy of the earth as a sense of pressure to “do”
• Reacting to this pressure with adrenaline and feeling stress and mistrust in right and aligned timing
• Burnout
Lessons/Challenges
• To learn to interpret adrenaline energy in a healthy way and to use it for inspired action at the right time
Wisdom and Optimal Expression of the Receptive Foundation
• Using adrenaline energy in a sustainable way to ensure right action at the right time
Affirmations for Wise Expression
• I set realistic goals.
• I make powerful decisions about being free and know that things will get done when they get done.
• I use pressure to create more energy and at the end of the day, I rest and relax even if my “to-do” list is long.
• I make decisions according to my Strategy even if I feel pressure.
• I breathe and relax knowing there is an abundance of time to get things done.
• I observe the world and enjoy the electrical pulse of right timing and right action.
• The spark of right timing inspires in me a surge of energy that allows me to create in a flow state.
• I observe the actions and energy of others and carefully choose which sparks I allow to inspire right action in me.
• I tend to my own inner sense of timing by ensuring that I’m ready for when the timing is right.
• Between actions, I rest and cultivate an inner sense of trust in right timing.
Sound frequencies: listening while meditating on affirmations (or simply repeating them) can help with finding balance and healing.

Clearing old beliefs/stories that are holding me back
• Vitality
Contemplations:
-
- Have I experienced pain, dis-ease, or dysfunction associated with my adrenals, hydration, ingestion, and/or assimilation? What about adrenal fatigue? If so, what could my body be trying to tell me? What story about myself and/or my life could my body be holding?
(I can revisit this question in the future if new health/body issues develop.) - Am I trying to get things done so I can be free?
- Am I rushing or procrastinating?
- What’s the worst thing that might happen if I don’t complete everything on my running to-do list?
- Do the people in my life really expect or need me to do all I feel pressured to do for them?
- How do I relax and trust?
- Do I trust the timing of the Universe?
- How do I manage stress and pressure?
- Does pressure make me do things I don’t to do?
- Have I experienced pain, dis-ease, or dysfunction associated with my adrenals, hydration, ingestion, and/or assimilation? What about adrenal fatigue? If so, what could my body be trying to tell me? What story about myself and/or my life could my body be holding?
If I want more insight, I can always request a message from the universe.
