Following Strategy
Following the strategy for my Type actually positions me to receive life’s intelligence and positions me to learn and experience everything I need to know about being in alignment with my highest potential.
Following my strategy changes my relationship with:
• Money and support
• My friends, family and loved ones
• My body
• My creative nature and my work
• With Source
• With myself
My strategy comes from my Type. Strategy is the most important knowledge offered by my circuitry design. It’s basically my personal way to make effective decisions. It gives me key information about how to operate in the world, how to make the choices that are right for me, and how to recognize when I’m on the right path for my life.
Following strategy offers me the opportunity to experience events and circumstances that will lead to satisfaction for me. I’ll more naturally align with my life purpose, minimize resistance in my life, make strong and healthy decisions that will feel good, more meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling. Not following my strategy creates detours from these experiences.
My Strategy: Respond, Envision, Inform, then Act
I have two primary focuses in life: work and family. One or both may be my primary focus.
Generator types are defined by the Intuitive Motor. I have tremendous energy but I have to access that energy in the correct way, through responding. It’s helpful to try on ideas in my imagination first and visualize the outcome while I’m waiting to take action.
I’m designed to respond to yes/no questions and things that appear in my outer reality with my Intuitive Center sounds. When I respond with those sounds, I have access to my inner truth and my inner direction. My Intuitive response will always take me to the right place, doing the right work with the right people. Once I learn to respond with my two sounds, I wake up a frequency of energy within myself that gives me self-awareness and the ability to know what to do and who to do it with.
I’m designed to discover the shortcut—the fastest, easiest way to getting things done. I have a tendency to skip important steps and frequently have to go back and fix the steps they skipped. That’s okay, because that’s the only way to learn which steps are skippable (i.e., the shortcuts).
Once I begin a project, I’ll have best results when including family, team, staff, or peers as they, too, will be affected by the actions I take. However, I have to inform these groups about the actions prior to following through.
Informing the people who will be impacted (and/or involved) stabilizes the energy around me. I can go so fast that informing feels like it is slowing me down but informing will decrease the resistance that I feel from others – resistance that would ultimately slow me down more than informing. Of course, it’s extra helpful when those closest to me understand and trust me enough to minimize their need to be informed.
Overcoming Conditioning
The most important thing in life is to find the right work for me. As a Generator, it is very difficult for me to do work I hate. I CAN but I’ll eventually burn out. The Intuitive response gives me inner authority and, hopefully, permission to let go of what I feel obligated or compelled to do. If I’m not working on something I love, burnout occurs; if satisfaction isn’t found, frustration and unhappiness take hold. In contrast, when I realize my true work, my Intuitive Center provides me with a virtually inexhaustible source of energy.
My typical experience has probably been to get an idea, have a fantasy or expectation about what that will look like, and then try to go out and make it happen. That’s likely how I was raised: told to “just go do it” or “make it happen.”
Because I’m an Intuitive being and designed to wait, when I try to go out and “manifest” by initiating action, I experience frustration, anger, and deep disappointment. Generators are simply not designed to initiate. Think about this: 70% of the population is raised to “just go out and do it” and are frustrated because it doesn’t work. I may have felt alone in this experience, but the truth is that most people are feeling stuck and trapped in jobs and lives that don’t feel good.
Because Generators have sustainable energy, we can easily become “enslaved” to life when not responding and eventually burn out. The key to keeping my Generator energy sustainable and breaking out of the conditioning field is to respond. The positive response of the Intuitive Motor turns it on and gives me the fullest possible access to the Intuitive Motor energy.
I’m able to respond quite quickly to situations because the channel between my Intuitive Center and my Throat Center is activated, so it’s difficult to tell the difference between responding and initiating. Once a response is made, I should stop and envision my next decision. I’ll do well if my ideas are imagined first for a visualized outcome before actually doing. However, I still need to wait before taking action.
By waiting, I’ll attract opportunities to respond and will know which direction to go. When I try to initiate action, I’m unlikely to get what I want and will end up spending a lot of energy working on and pursuing things that only leave me feeling burned out and frustrated.
When I learn to respond instead of initiating, I liberate myself to do the work I love and free my energy in ways that most (world-conditioned) Generators can not even imagine. There is magic available for me when I learn to wait and respond. The Generator life has a response-based geometry. I’m designed to lead a happy, fulfilling life when I allow life to show up for me, as opposed to going out and making life happen. I can support this process by clarifying what it is that I want and then waiting for it to show up, trusting that it will.
When I’m connected to my Intuitive Motor, I’ll never have to wait for long. I must simply have intent and clarity and something always shows up to respond to. I may be unsure and ask myself, “Am I really responding to this or not?” The way to know is that when I’m positively responding and accessing Intuitive energy, I’ll come alive! When I’m responding, I need less sleep and have more energy.
If I’m not bounding through life, I need to ask myself what it is I’m responding to. What is it that I may NOT be responding to but that I desire to do? When I’m responding, I wake up with energy that is unbelievable. I have endless energy available for work. I could even almost hate weekends because I love my work so much and wish that there were more hours in the day to work.
For Generators, it is inevitable that it will happen that way. As a “doer”, I may fear that if I just sit and wait, nothing will happen, but when I stop and wait, something shows up very quickly. Generators who are well connected to their Intuitive Motor are always dancing with and responding to life. Waiting can feel most unnatural, but when I wait and then respond to the right work, I’ll free myself up to be able to do the work I love for a lifetime, or until something even better shows up for me to respond to.
Subtle Intuitive Responses
Responses from my Intuitive Center are usually obvious with explicit yes/no questions, but sometimes it may respond to an internal prompting and not necessarily have an explicit question or other auditory stimulus to respond to. This looks like feeling a strong urge to do something and feeling an Intuitive response to the urge. In this case, that urge is creating an unspoken question of “do I want to do this?”
If I experience this and I’m not sure if I’m responding or initiating, I can simply ask myself questions to gain clarity. The more familiar I become with how Intuitive responses feel and not just how they sound, the more skilled I’ll become at recognizing when I’m responding to an internal stimulus rather than needing an explicit, external question.
Waiting for Something Solid
As a Generator, I’m always responding. Something is appearing in my world every minute to respond to. Whether it is a question like “Do you want a sandwich for lunch?” or ‘Would you like to work at this company?” or more subtle situations like internal urges, I receive daily prompting to respond.
In the beginning of experimenting with my strategy, I’ll generally need to wait for something to appear in FORM before responding. As I get more experienced with responding, I’ll begin to understand what a true response is and what’s just an idea from my mind.
It won’t always be easy to tell if I’m responding or initiating; it may feel like a subtle distinction at times. I can always wait for additional signs to confirm. I’ll also soon get a feel for when I find myself going in an initiating direction rather than responsive. I can do a course correction whenever I need to, so there’s no need to fear making a wrong choice. All experiences are opportunities to learn, grow, expand, and evolve.
Trusting that I’ll Receive Something to Respond to
I may become fearful that if I don’t initiate, I won’t receive opportunities to respond, and therefore will never accomplish anything. Life is simply geometry. All I have to do is allow the geometry of my destiny to come to me. Wait, and I’ll get something to respond to! And if I ignore this strategy long enough, the Universe is likely to put me in a situation where I can’t do anything except wait, just so it can teach me that I can trust this strategy, that my happiness matters, and that I deserve a life of joy and fulfillment.
An Analogy: Crossing The Stream
Once upon a time there was a woman who wanted to cross a wide and rapid stream. The stream was too wide, too deep, and too rapid for her to safely wade across. As the woman stood by the stream she could look across and see the exact point where she thought she wanted to go. She paced back and forth across the banks of the stream, frustrated and confused about how to get to the other side.
As she stood alone at the edge of the stream, a gentle voice spoke to her and told her to look at the water. Before her very eyes, a beautiful large round, smooth river rock appeared in the water, just the right distance away for her to step on safely from the bank of the creek. The woman immediately stepped onto the rock ready to keep on leaping to the other side. As the woman stood on the rock waiting, she began to feel frustrated again.
Again, she could see the other side of the creek and where she wanted to go but she just could not get there. Now she was really frustrated and she began to jump up and down on her rock.
Again, a gentle voice reminded her to look down at the water. As she looked down, another beautiful, stable rock appeared just a little ways from the rock she was standing on. The woman hopped gracefully to the next rock, this time a little bemused at the whole process.
This process repeated itself over and over again. And each time as the woman stepped onto a new rock, she began to trust that another rock would appear. She just had to wait for the right one. Slowly, she made her way across the stream, rock by rock, until she arrived at her destination. By the time she got to the other side, she knew that wherever her life took her, opportunities to go further would always present themselves.
My life is like the stream. I stand on the edge, see where I want to go, and wait for the rocks to show up. When an opportunity to further my crossing appears, I respond with my Intuitive Center and see whether this is really the rock I want to step onto.
I may find that my path of rocks takes me to a different part of the stream than I originally intended. I may find that once I get out in the middle of the stream that the side I started out on is better than where I’m going. I may find that life will bring me the perfect rocks to lead me to the path of my greatest Heart’s desires.
Even when I don’t know what the destination will be, I can follow the rocks and TRUST that they will always appear when I am ready!
Contemplations:
-
- What do I think or feel about the description of my strategy? Have I experienced the high energy of engaging with something that came to me and/or the low energy of forcing myself to do things that are the result of pursuit rather than response?
- How close am I to living in an aligned way with my strategy?
- How do I feel about trying out my strategy as part of my experiment?
- What needs to be healed, released, aligned, and/or brought to my awareness for me to trust in following my strategy?
(This question is designed to put out into the universe as a request to be shown answers. It’s a good one to ask before meditating or going to sleep. Tapping on the center of my forehead while I ask the question(s) will help provide a physical signal to myself of my intention to process this while sleeping).
If I want more insight, I can always request a message from the universe.
