For all cards: Click on any card to open the full-size image. What stands out to you about the imagery and/or message? Ask Spirit if there’s anything particular they want you to notice and then observe if anything new stands out to you. Recording these reactions in writing is highly recommended, along with anything you experience that synchronizes with the cards or brings out new insights about the imagery and/or messages.

Main themes:

  1. Grief as an opportunity to receive nurturing and comfort from Spirit and our connections with those who love us
  2. Our experience of grief and loss is significantly impacted by the way we choose to perceive it and respond to it
  3. Grief and loss as a doorway to awakening and enlightenment
  4. Recognizing and prioritizing our need for self-care, rest, and patience with ourselves
  5. The need to experience our emotions and work through them rather than avoid them; the blessings we receive when we do so

Crystals/stones highlighted: rose quartz, sugilite, rhodonite

Numbers highlighted: 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 22, 34, 36, 37, 40, 41, 43, 46, 61

Overall numeric energy: 3 + 4 + 9 + (1) + 11 + (3) + (6) + (7) + 22 + (7) + (9) + (1 + 0) + (4) + (5) + (7) + (1 + 0) + (7) = 107

Chakra Wisdom
by Tori Hartman

Grief (Penelope and Pickle): Grief is love without a place to go.

A story: Penelope meets Pickle, the puppy, when she is at college. They go through everything together. Much later, when the day comes for Mother Earth to call Pickle home, he dies in Penelope’s arms. Her friends are hard on her, suggesting that she should just get over her pet’s death. Penelope knows she loved Pickle deeply and is simply in grief. Loving Pickle was worth every moment of sadness. When she is ready, she will love again.

Insight: Pickle represents the strength of character inherent in true love. This card heralds a deep caring and an ability to heal and love again, however deep the pain or hard the challenges you face. Troubled times denote smooth sailing ahead.

Inspiration: Penelope and Pickle remind us that what we reveal, we can heal. Give yourself time; you will love again. If you honor your pain, it will change your life.

Personal Inquiry: Is lingering grief preventing me from progressing? What can I see in my heart? My responses to the following ideas: feeling grief, healing process, missing someone or something, being unafraid of sadness, love is on the horizon, love, commitment, vulnerability.

Meditation: Close your eyes and allow cleansing white light to wash over you. Invite someone you miss into the light. Feel the happiness this moment provides. Tell them how much you miss them, and let them tell you the same. Create space for another visit in the future, if you wish.

Chakra Reading Cards

Earth Star 3: Nurturing

This deck includes cards for “earth star” (below the root) and “soul star” (above the crown) chakras, and I include them as options to pull for all message sets.

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

Spirit wants to offer you comfort and nurturing at this time.

Ironically, the times when we most need and long for comforting are the times when it’s most difficult to be receptive to it. Can you think of any ways in which you have turned away from care and nurturing that’s offered to you? Consider opening your heart to comfort from those who love you and/or from Spirit.

Engage in at least one act of self-care each day. Observe the impact this has on you.

Affirmation: I am nurturing myself in all aspects of life, and I am open to receiving this powerful loving energy now and always.

Crystal Power Tarot
by Jayne Wallace

Ten of Swords

A sudden ending. This Ten, in the conflict-ridden suit of Swords, shows an outcome that is unexpected and sudden.

In readings, the card often denotes the end of a job or relationship and although this feels like a fast unraveling, on reflection you see that it may have been building for some time. There is a finality here, which suggests the situation or relationship is completely over.

This card can also be seen as an aspect of the major arcana card (XIII) Death, which brings necessary endings so you are able to quickly transition into a new phase.

In what ways does this message ring true for you? How do you feel about it? Consider that “completely over” always refers to the nature of a thing but not always the thing itself. When existence as a caterpillar is completely over, existence as a butterfly begins. This can be true of relationships and other situations, not just individuals. Another perspective is that even if a specific job is completely over, the career isn’t necessarily over. If a relationship is completely over, our role as a loving partner isn’t necessarily over. If a certain career, being in a relationship, etc. are important to us and in alignment with our purpose/highest good (i.e. components of what will bring us genuine joy) then the ending that comes with this Ten occurs because there’s something better that we deserve. How do these ideas apply for you specifically?

Affirmation: I see the truth in this ending.

XLI (41): Sap of the Moon Plant

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

Keywords: nocturnal, sacred water of the unconscious

Sap of the Moon Plant is said to be linked to the pineal gland and can be increased by the practice of meditation. Sitting for a few moments in the evening is especially beneficial.

There are many names for this sacred elixir: soma, nectar, aqua vitae, aqua nostra, and vinom ardens, to name a few. Remember, dreams are the mother tongue of humanity.

Track your dreams for the next 3 nights.

This card is about embracing the unconscious and the deep well of emotion within us as a means of connecting with Spirit and receiving healing. Consider this message in the context of the other cards in this set regarding comfort and rest.

 Meditate on yin energy.

I will ask Divine and Spirit for the comfort and answers I need, rest, and trust that all will be revealed.

Quantum Human Design

Gate 32: Endurance

Challenges:

  • To trust in Divine timing.
  • To prepare for the next step of manifestation and to align with the unfolding of the process.
  • To be patient.

Mastery:

  • The awareness of what needs to be done to make a dream a manifested reality.
  • Setting the stage, preparation, and being ready.
  • The patience to trust that once the stage is set, the timing will unfold as needed to serve the highest good of all.
  • To translate divine inspiration into readiness.

Expression when unbalanced:

  • Letting the fear of failure cause you to avoid preparing what you need to do.
  • To not be ready when the timing is right.
  • To push too hard, too fast, and for too long against right timing.

  Resiliency Keys and Further Contemplations:

  • What needs to be healed, released, aligned, and brought to my awareness for me to trust myself and my inner knowing? For me to move forward with courage and faith?
  • What do I need to do to be prepared to manifest my vision? What actionable steps need to be completed in order for me to be ready when the timing is right?
  • What do I need to do to cultivate patience?
  • Do I have a fear of failing that is causing me to avoid being prepared?
  • Am I overdoing and being overly prepared? Am I pushing too hard? What can I let go of?

I am a divine translator for Divine Inspiration. I sense and know what needs to be prepared on the earthly plane in order to be ready for right timing. I am aligned with right timing and I prepare and wait patiently, knowing that when the time is right I will be ready to do the work to help transform pain into power.

Unshakable Inner Peace

34: You are the Image Maker. What you focus on manifests.

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

  Divine Assignment:

If you focus on what you don’t want, you will get more of it. Use the Law of Attraction as a mirror of your own mindset and self-worth. You are always experiencing the outcome of your previous thoughts and the decisions you made in the past. If what you experienced is not pleasing, shift your thoughts. As you do this, you change your outcome.

Start by being aware of the thoughts that are not a vibrational match to your ultimate desire. Then shift your focus to what you want and how you want to feel. Each and every moment, you can realign and refocus your attention on what you want. You have the ability to attract more enjoyable circumstances. It starts with your thoughts.

What thought pattern do I need to shift?

XII (12): New Vision

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

Consider the statement “When you open up to the ultimate…you are no longer separate – you have found your roots.” Apply this to your own life and any grief/loss you have been experiencing. If you think of it as one of the dimensions that create the fullness of life, does that alter your experience of it? Reflect on the idea of needing the “dark and difficult” as much as the light and how integration might ease the suffering.

Quantum Tarot
by Lo Scarabeo

XVI (16): Tower – Quantum Foam

The tower depicts the unexpected eruption of chaos. This may be a shocking experience but it holds the promise of freedom.

The concept of quantum foam evolved out of an attempt to reconcile Einstein’s theory of general relativity with quantum mechanics. The idea was to treat gravity as a field, linking space and time to quantum theory’s uncertainty principle. The result predicted that at submicroscopic levels, space-time becomes unpredictable and chaotic. Hence quantum foam: a kind of cosmic bubble bath with black holes and wormholes forming and dissolving at alarming rates.

This strange and frightening world, strikingly at odds with the apparent stability of the material world, gives us the perfect image for the Tower. In traditional tarot decks, a tower is shown struck by lightning and two figures fall, perhaps to their deaths. The Tower symbolizes disruption and shock, a break in the continuity of our lives. The Tower is a challenging card but it is not negative. After the shock of being thrown out of our comfort zone, we often realize how our old ways of thinking have restricted us and wake up to the positive side of the Tower’s message: freedom.

The lightning strike can also be a flash of Illumination or inspiration. We are filled with sudden understanding and insight, even enlightenment.

What is shaking you loose?

Medicine Bag

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

Divine and Spirit want you to know: As your power grows, take time to protect it, just as you protect a seedling in the early months, and then later – once it’s an established tree – it can withstand the storms of time. Protect your growing power, and it will become as mighty as an ancient oak.

Consider obtaining or creating your own medicine bag or bundle. Put objects in it that are meaningful to you and make you feel strong and vital whenever you look at them or hold them. Traditionally, one’s medicine bag was not worn for display, but often hidden from view or kept in a sacred place.

If you want to explore this idea or similar practices, the author of this deck has a companion book, Kindling the Native Spirit.

37: Realization

The image, as explained by the guidebook: All images are based on sacred geometry, and sacred geometry works at the soul level. It can be felt deeply, activating parts of us that are subconscious and multidimensional. The energy of the Activations interacts with your energy. Energy blocks can be dissolved and new connections can be made, allowing room for new insights and perspectives. Activations are catalysts for transformation; they are visual, multidimensional meditation tools. Through sacred geometry (color, patterns, light), Activations create a bridge between sight and soul that supports your journey inward – the growth and expansion of your consciousness. All you have to do is focus your attention on the image and allow its energy to do its magic.

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

The frequency of realization supports the internal process of becoming aware of our heart-centered truth, as well as the external process of becoming our highest expression in this world.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Do you realize the magnificence of who you are and the scale of what you can create while you are here in body? This realization or belief that you are an expression of the creative Source makes you a powerful manifestor. What is it that you want to accomplish?

40: Tenderness

The energy of Tenderness activates our capacity to open our hearts and approach the world and each other with gentleness and care.

Close your eyes to look inward.

  • Can you feel how tenderness and the heart are connected? How does that feel to you?
  • Do you feel that tenderness is an exclusively feminine quality? Can people be tender and masculine?
  • Are you tender with yourself? With others?
  • How do you express your tenderness? Is it something you do or say? Is there a feeling inside of you that arises with this expression?
  • Do you feel loved and connected to a higher power in such a way that you are not afraid to express tenderness?

36: Grounding

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

The “false grounding” described here refers to means of distraction that often become compulsive. Consider the difference between “happiness” and “distraction from unhappiness.” Can you identify any ways in which you’re using “false grounding” as a coping mechanism?

Choose one means of “false grounding” you use to cope (creating disconnection with self) and one means of true grounding (cultivating connection with self) that you could use instead. Practice replacing the former with the latter. Record any changes you notice that result from just one swap.

22: The Lion and the Deer

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

When you enter the garden of the heart,
You become fragrant like the rose.

When you fly toward Heaven,
You become graceful like the angel.

If you get burned like oil,
You become brilliant.

When you become thin like hair in yearning,
Your joy leads the way.

You’ll be the kingdom and the King.
You’ll be paradise and the guardian angel.
You’ll be infidelity, and you’ll be faith.
You’ll be the lion, and you’ll be the deer.

~Rumi

  Sacred honoring ritual:

(You can replace any of the entities addressed in these prayers with the terms that are the most meaningful to you.)

Say aloud, three times:

“Divine and Spirit, who love me unconditionally, bear witness to my declaration now. I honor the spiritual maturity within me that bestows upon my consciousness this sacred task. I have accepted the fundamental goodness of my being and can now cast aside all notions held of myself and enquire into my wholeness. What nestles alongside this goodness? All, of course. I am unafraid. I honor my heart, and it is big enough to hold all my nature within its graceful light. I witness my darkness with compassion and I become able to dance with all of my being – light and dark – in graceful acknowledgement of my divine wholeness. The gentle acceptance of all of me now brings me peace. This acceptance allows the Divine to live fully through me as a vessel for the great mysterious plan unfolding upon the earth. With reverence, grace, and surrender so be it.”

Sit quietly for a few moments and gaze at the image upon the card. Notice the colors, the interplay of light and dark that create the one beautiful image. This represents you – all light and all dark would have no art at all remaining, only extremes. It is in the interplay of light and dark that enables the living art in progress – your soul – to come most fully to life.

When you are ready, simply say thank you. You have completed your ritual.

Blind Spot
by Teal Swan

Advanced Practice: Shadow

61: Temporality

       Listen to card description:

(If player doesn’t load, click here to access audio file)

The image, as explained by the guidebook: The artwork was originally painted by hand by Teal Swan while deep in trance states. Each card acts as a berth for a specific Sigil. The difference between a symbol and a Sigil is that a Sigil is not representing anything. Instead, the Sigil itself is like a body for a specific essence, entity, or Spirit. Each Sigil has the capacity to influence you (like a teacher or guide) and make you aware relative to the specific blind spot it has chosen to be assigned to. You are asked to invite the special essence of the Sigil into your life in order to help you.

Consider this message in the context of all the messages in this set. Does it resonate with you? Are there ways in which attachment to the physical/material has worsened your grief or sense of loss?

While using this set, see if you can identify ways in which this message applies. If you wish, try loosening this attachment a little or shifting your perspective to include the emotional and/or spiritual also. You don’t have to take action or try to change it if you aren’t ready; awareness alone can be very powerful.
