Exercise: Using my Intuitive Center to my advantage
I have the ability to know what I want and cut through the confusion by simply responding to “yes” or “no” questions. Through responding, I can reach clarity. Doing exercises like this one allows me to have clarity about specific questions, as well as develop familiarity with what my responses feel like and recognize them when they occur spontaneously in other circumstances.
The energy of the Intuitive Motor gets turned on by sound. For Alchemists, the sounds of the Intuitive Motor are two sounds that most Generators learn are rude and unacceptable at an early age: “Uh-huh” and “Nuh-uh”. Most Generators are unconsciously making those sounds anyway. For Time Benders, with a defined 34/20 Channel of Power, the short connection to the Throat means that their Intuitive sounds are more likely to be short words specific to the individual, like “yep” or “yeah” and “no” or “nope.” The first words to come out of my mouth when answering yes/no questions are my personal Intuitive sounds.
Discouragement and/or silencing I’ve experienced from life or other people has likely caused me to mistrust and disconnect from my Intuitive center and its responses. If so, I’ll need to “wake up” my Intuitive response in order to re-activate my Intuitive Motor. The best way to wake up my Intuitive Motor is to start making the Intuitive sounds in response to straightforward yes/no questions. This simple exercise will help me recognize and develop my Intuitive response.
If there’s a situation I’m wrestling with, I can have someone I trust sit down with me and ask me a series of yes/no questions: easy, straightforward questions first to activate my Intuitive Center, followed by questions about the situation to get access to deep self-awareness in an easy and joyful way! I can also do sessions of just easy questions to cultivate connection with my Intuitive Center and become familiar with what those responses feel and sound like. If I find myself pausing/thinking, I should skip that question, switch back to easy questions, and answer other questions around the situation before coming back to the one that took me out of my Intuitive Center and into my Mind Center.
If I’m not ready to do this exercise with another person (who would hear my responses), I can record myself asking the questions and play it back to practice responding. This is a no-risk way to learn what it feels and sounds like when my Intuitive center is responding (which circumvents the less accurate response from an overthinking mind). If a question that’s seemingly easy triggers a thinking response instead of an immediate response, I should remove it from my “easy” list used for activation.

Alternative: Physical Responses
It’s possible to become so conditioned by others’ negative reactions to my Intuitive responses that significant questions always cause my Intuitive Center to shut down and my Mind Center to take over no matter how many activation questions I respond to. It’s even possible for the habit of responding from my Mind to become so strong that it immediately overpowers my Intuitive response even for the simplest activation questions.
If I suspect that the connection between my Intuitive Center and Throat Center has become too blocked for me to generate an Intuitive sound (or if I’m not sure I trust in the beginning that the sound I’m producing is genuinely Intuitive and not manufactured by my Mind), I can use one of the methods below.
Physical responses allow my body to indicate the response from my Intuitive Center without engaging the Throat. Some can also be useful in situations where I want to check my Intuitive response without generating sound. I can try all of them and decide which one feels the most trustworthy for indicating my true Intuitive response without interference from my Mind.
Finger Check
Make a closed ring with thumb and index finger of one hand and create a linked closed ring with your other hand, like so:
Next, I pull with my dominant hand while resisting against breaking the links with the muscles of my fingers. I should gauge the combination of pulling force that my non-dominant hand can easily resist. That’s the test force to use with my questions.
Questioning is done the same way as described above, but I can silently think the questions rather than hear them spoken aloud. After I ask a question, I try to pull my fingers apart with the test force I’ve established. If the answer to my question is yes, the rings will stay intact. If the answer is no, my finger muscles will weaken and the ring made with my non-dominant hand will separate.
Pendulum Check
For this method, I just need to dangle something on a string or chain. Anything works. I hold out my non-dominant hand with the palm up, hold the chain or string of the pendulum between the thumb and index finger of my dominant hand, and dangle the swinging end of the pendulum over the center of the palm of my non-dominant hand.
While keeping both hands still, I ask myself what yes looks like and note the way the pendulum swings. I do the same for no. Then I proceed with the questioning exercise as described above, stopping and steadying the pendulum between questions.
It’s important that I keep my hands still so that it’s only unconscious movements that induce the swing of the pendulum. Unconscious movements are typically muscle reactions that aren’t easily visible to the eye. If I become stressed or agitated during the exercise, that can compromise the results, so I should stop or switch to a different method.
